What do you have on your plate?

What's next in the pipeline?

Such are some of the expressions used in my Corporate Comms department.

Metaphoric and kinda sophisticated as it is... it makes me uncomfortable.

I mean... i've never come across anyone who speaks like that, even in St Nick's,.. but everyone does it here!!!

And it's kinda stressful having to always our-wit & out-do one another while behaving like you're helping one another.

I don't think i can fit into the culture here very well... seriously... It's sad that i'm not close to anyone here and can only get along with only perhaps one person...

And the freakin working hours are so damn long! And talk about the pay... miserable!

What's keeping me is the learning opportunity and the company reputation.

Then again... there's just so much to learn... and im constantly busy at work.

From some fellow schoolmate's blog and fr speaking with some others, i wonder why everyone in my department is every so busy. Is it any different from other companies? Is this because we;re corporate comms? Is it we have too many business units? Is it cuz we issue too many press releases? Is it the monthly newsletter as well as the subsidiary newsletters? Or is it the endless meetings?

What is it exactly? Think it's everything!

We slog longer (daily and weekly) more than most companies. Why do we only knock off at 545 when most of our subsidiaries and even other companies end at 5?

Why do we work on alternate saturdays when our counterparts from the subsidiary companies, even when wholly-owned, enjoy the 5-day week? Despite the gov's call for 5-day work weeks and us being Gov-linked cannot enjoy that... cuz we're in the Corporation... the one who oversees all operations.

Coming to the wages... It's pathetic! I mean... some people can live with it... but not in a long run!!! It's way below the average k...

Fine! Government bodies pays mediocre wages... if not less, but hey!!! I dont enjoy it at all k...

Then i heard that Multi national companies don't pay too well monthly... cuz there's a whole queue of people waiting for the position.

Sigh... dilemma, dilemma, dilemma...

Oh anyway, im seriously considering re-bonding my bloody hair!! I don't have naturally tame hair... and it gets on my nerves at times...

Actually not that bad... but i just kinda want to experience it see...

Yawn... im gonna zonk. Damn! Im gonna work tmr... which is a Sunday!

CRAP!!! I just shot myself on the feet!!!

I was so lost in the space of time that i forgot today was the big day... Pen's departure.

I ought to be shot in my brains!!!

It was too late when i called her place... her dad was like "err... siyi... err... she already..."

And i interrupted "Don't tell me she went back already?"

Crap la... I'm such a lousy friend.
