Which festival do you like most?

What is your favourite holiday? {for primary school students}

Almost always and instantly, without a thought, people excitedly reply "Christmas!". half-hoping to elaborate their likings... or the festival... or whatever!

I was, expectedly, no exception...

Previously, i would conceive endless plans for the special christmas eve as early as 1 month before.

But this year is probably the beginning of the many more lifeless christmas eves...

There's just nothing to look forward to....

Nothing to celebrate...

Nothing to be joyous about...

I guess working life kills festive joys...

Sorry Wee, MH, Yvonne, QL and Jun for not celebrating at the Swisshotel Merchant Courts.

Sherwyn agreed that this christmas lack the spirit. Totally!!!

Jon and I thought we could go somewhere.... but were too put off by the crowd {prossibly 35% of SG's population, excluding cry babies}... so we decided to just stay home...

Watched the Incredibles thou.... which was by the way BAD to me... {uh huh... i fell asleep and fought to stay awake throughout}

Isn't it just another of those irritating cartoons?

What i'd rather watch is really... Captain Planet!

No joke... at least i prefer its intro song/ the normal-looking characters without long jaws and fishball eyes!

Deb said i would like the show.... WRONG!!! SO WRONG!!!

It gets on my nerves... I detest cartoons... generally!!!

Nvm, i don't mind that cuz Jon enjoyed it.

Moving on, Oceans 12 is quite the rage now...

Please... don't be deceived!!!

It's very very very bad!

I do not know where to start telling...

i fell asleep like an hour into the movie and never woke up till the lights came on again.

Alright... alright... i admit. I am not a movie buff... so my opinion can be an oxymoron.

The only memorable 2004 christmas programme {besides the Christmas dinner at Swensens} so far is the Italian Christmas Evening with Susanna Rigacci (Soprano).

Im so so glad that we went for this concert... else my christmas would be the epitome of the typical boring day...

I love achepelo especially soprano... so mind-blowing... so even glass-shattering. ha...

But she's good la... even manages cadenza well. Which is damn amazing...

Her voice clear and forceful. Listening to her sing is akin to listening to a mynah sing.

If any of you happen to like Soprano archepelo too and interested in Italian music, you can try "Ah,Donate IL Caro Sposo" and "O Luce De Quest Anima"... those are my 2 fav from the many songs...

And of course, there are the christmas carols... which {for once this year} induced some festive joy in me.

A handful of people paid to sleep in the concert... {secret: Jon is guilty of this too} It's either too melodious to be appreciated with eyes wide opened... or it's nothing more than a high-pitched lullaby.

And if I don't remember this concert by Susanna's voice, i would rememer it by the smell at Victoria Concert Hall.

Everyone knows the smell of stinko feet aka HK feet. But here's the scary fact: What you think may be food might be just another person's trapped perspirations...

Think pizza... Does it make you hungry? It made me damn hungry having not had dinner before turning up for the concert. So i inhalled a deeper breath... and actually enjoyed the aroma and secretly imagined myself eating it.

After a while, Jon turned and said "Do you know that that's actually someone's feet?" Oh my! I almost chocked on my own saliva... WE had both been fooled into thinking it was pizza at first!

Whoever's feet smelled of pizza, good for you! But please be considerate to pizza makers... they still need to keep their businesses up and running.

Wo knows? The culprit might be an ang mo pizza lover with an overdose of pizza that day. See, told you too much of a good thing is bad!

Christmas programmes lined up:

1. Jon's family get-together dinner tomorrow

2. 2nd Aunt's official christmas dinner on Sunday

I am really kinda excited...

p/s: Went Mum's neighbour's place for Christmas lunch today and received my first present. {Jon and I not exchanging gifts this year}
